Clamshell Packaging

Our clamshell packaging is an eco-friendly alternative to styrofoam/polystyrene clamshells. BioPak clamshells made from FSC™ Recycled paper (License code FSC™ C110879) are suitable for home composting. We also have clamshell containers made from a mix of sugarcane pulp and reclaimed plant fibre.

Clamshell Packaging Made From Renewable Resources

Shop the most eco-friendly range of clamshell packaging on the market. BioPak’s clamshell containers are a sustainable packaging option that biodegrades in a controlled industrial composting facility and will not pollute or damage the environment. Our clamshell boxes are available in two materials; plastic-free BioCane and BioBoard – both made from renewable and up to 70% reclaimed  materials.

Why BioPak Clamshells Are Better

When it comes to serving food to consumers on the go, disposable clamshell containers offer a convenient way to present the food both beautifully and hygienically. It's important to consider that not all takeaway containers are created equal. Did you know conventional polystyrene clamshells are made from fossil fuels? Takeaway containers, in general, are destined for a short life of about 20 minutes, usually ending up in a landfill where they take decades to break down and release greenhouse gases in the process. Our eco-clamshells are made from plant-based materials and do not contain any conventional plastic. Choose better packaging for the planet today!
